Description: The After School (Panther Care) Program assistants are an essential part of All Souls’ dynamic and robust After School Program which serves over 100 students daily. The Panther Care assistants manage grade level groups of 20-25 students from 2:15-6pm, Monday-Thursday and from 1pm-6pm on Fridays throughout the school year. The assistants prepare crafts and other fun activities, assist with the varying needs of students, supervise recess, and support learning by creating an atmosphere where students can complete homework. The position is hired and evaluated by the Vice-Principal and Director of After School and Enrichment Programs.
Requirements:
· Team player who practices open communication regarding concerns for students with parents and staff
· Organized and thoughtful in preparing materials and activities
· Ability to multi-task, be flexible, and remain calm in a fast paced environment
· Ensure that all staff and children are respectful of school property and all school rules are followed
· High school diploma; at least two years of college or BA preferred
· Bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin a plus
