The University of Washington Autism Center (UWAC) has an outstanding opportunity for a Behavior Technician (BT) to join their team.
About this Opportunity
Reporting to a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) , the Behavior Technician is responsible for delivering direct, individualized intervention services to young children with Autism Spectru m Disorder (ASD) in a clinic ‑ based setting. This role supports the implementation of evidence ‑ based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans, contributes to skill development and behavior improvement, and plays a vital role in supporting children and families while maintaining UW Autism Center clinical standards and practices.
This position is located at the UW Tacoma Campus and is an in ‑ person , clinic ‑ based role. Employees must be available during ABA Day Program hours: Tuesday–Friday, 8:30–11:30 AM and 1:30–4:30 PM . Schedules may be up to 40 hours per week (Tuesday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:30 PM) and are negotiable based on clinic needs and applicant availability. Hours may change based on client need .
Provide Direct Intervention – 60%
Organize and Maintain Therapy Space – 20%
Develop Therapy Materials – 10%
Develop motivation charts, token boards, PECS icons, visual schedules, and play materials
Manage Records and Data Collection – 10%
This position does not manage employees.

Additional Qualifications
Ability to provide physical care, including moving young children (12–48 months), diapering, and toilet training as needed
P referred Qualifications
Training or experience with early intensive behavioral intervention, applied behavior analysis, early intervention, developmental psychology, or special education
The UW Autism Center (UWAC) is part of the University of Washington’s Center on Human Development and Disability and includes faculty and staff from the School of Medicine, College of Arts & Sciences, and College of Education. $45,144.00 annual
