Overview
Seeking a steward/Dishwasher for immediate hire! The Steward/Dishwasher plays a vital role in ensuring that food is prepared, cooked, and served to the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires a passion for food service and hospitality, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in sanitation, including cleaning, and logistics of a kitchen, while maintaining a focus on cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas by cleaning surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
- Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and guidelines.
- Wash service ware and assist with serving food during events or busy service periods.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to maintain safety and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure kitchen sanitation meets the standards of the business during production hours
- Support inventory management by helping to stock supplies and report shortages.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance knowledge of food service operation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or related roles such as restaurant or hotel kitchens is preferred.
- Familiarity with culinary techniques and food handling practices is essential.
- Experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to providing outstanding hospitality.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
