POSITION: Adjunct Faculty
DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM: Undergraduate Nursing
PAY RANGE: $450 - $1,300 per semester credit hour (SCH). Faculty are contracted per SCH. Actual compensation within this range is determined by factors including academic credentials, relevant professional experience, discipline, and course enrollment. Courses with lower enrollment may be prorated within this range in accordance with university policy.
QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate degree with a BSN, or BSN and currently enrolled in a graduate program, or BSN with additional credentials, at least 2-years relevant clinical nursing experience, active RN license in Virginia
RESPONSIBILITIES: To serve as an adjunct faculty member for the undergraduate nursing program, teaching
up to 3.5 credit hours per semester. Includes the following:

Undergraduate nursing clinical instruction, in person, at an adult health long-term care and/or acute care clinical agency in or near Harrisonburg:

NURS 304 Fundamentals Practicum
APPOINTMENT DATE: Fall Semester, September 1 through December 18, 2026. Start date: August 18, 2026. EMU reserves the right to fill
the position at any time or keep the position open. Clinical rotations vary in length and timing on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the semester.
