We are currently seeking an Equine Veterinary Assistant to help support the day-to-day operations of our clinic. The position requires that you have a strong knowledge of equine care and experience in the field of veterinary medicine. This is a physically demanding job that can often mean long hours in the heat, cold, rain, etc. Experience is a must for this position, as we are in need of an experienced assistant as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during veterinary procedures - jogging for performance exams, scrubbing joints for injections, handling inventory on the truck, preparing medication, assisting with radiographs and other diagnostic procedures, etc.
- Assist veterinarians with other duties as needed.
- Communicate with animal owners to ensure they understand the treatment plan.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure smooth operations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
