Paralegal Bankruptcy Services is a U.S.-based team that prepares Chapter 7, 13, and 11/Subchapter V petitions and plans for attorneys. We're hiring experienced, detail-obsessed bankruptcy paralegals for flexible, fully-remote contract work.
Flexible hours — take on as much or as little as fits your schedule.
How pay works: You're paid a flat fee per case for filing work (most of the role), plus an hourly rate for other tasks — so your earnings scale with how much you take on and how efficiently you work. For experienced paralegals, flat-fee cases typically work out to the equivalent of about $60–$80 per hour, with complex Chapter 11 / Subchapter V matters at the higher end. This is 1099 contract work.
What you'll do: prepare petitions, the means test, Schedules A–J, the SOFA, and Chapter 13 plans from intake packages; work filing-ready inside the attorney's software (Best Case, Jubilee, or NextChapter); and return clean, review-ready work for the attorney to review, sign, and file.
What we look for: 2+ years of consumer bankruptcy preparation experience; fluency in Best Case, Jubilee, or NextChapter; CM/ECF experience; and U.S.-based. Bilingual English/Spanish and Chapter 11 / Subchapter V experience are pluses.
How it works: 1099 contract, remote, U.S.-based only, with flexible volume and flexible hours. Hiring starts with a short paid test case. Work is performed under the client attorney's supervision — you support licensed attorneys; we are not a bankruptcy petition preparer and do not serve the public.
