Receptionist (Full-Time / Part-Time)
Location: Cannabis World – Albany, NY
Position Summary
Cannabis World is looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our customers. The Receptionist plays an important role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring all guests are properly checked in and directed throughout the dispensary. This position also supports the sales team and management by assisting with daily operations and maintaining a clean, professional reception area.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome every customer with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Verify customer identification by scanning IDs and ensuring compliance with New York State cannabis regulations.
- Assign customers to the appropriate pricing or loyalty group within our point-of-sale system.
- Assist customers by explaining the store layout and product categories when Budtenders are assisting other guests.
- Answer incoming phone calls professionally and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting reception area throughout the day.
- Perform light cleaning duties, including wiping surfaces, organizing displays, and keeping common areas tidy.
- Help restock supplies and assist with daily operational tasks as needed.
- Provide support to supervisors and managers by completing miscellaneous tasks and projects.
- Communicate effectively with Budtenders and management to ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Uphold all company policies, security procedures, and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Basic phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Friendly, dependable, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing light cleaning duties.
- Must be at least 21 years old and eligible to work in New York State.
Schedule
- Flexible scheduling available.
- Full-time and part-time positions available.
- Weekend and Morning availability is preferred.
