License & Title Clerk

Zeigler Subaru of Lafayette is looking for a License & Title Clerk to join our growing team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring vehicle paperwork is processed accurately, deadlines are met, and customers receive an exceptional ownership experience.

What You'll Do:
Process vehicle title and registration paperwork accurately and efficiently.
Prepare documents for new and used vehicle sales.
Submit paperwork to the BMV and other state agencies while ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
Verify all deal documentation is complete before processing.
Maintain title schedules and follow up on outstanding titles and registrations.
Process payoffs, lien releases, and related documentation.
Communicate with customers, lenders, insurance companies, and government agencies as needed.
Maintain organized records and filing systems.
Assist with accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Support the sales and finance departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
What We're Looking For:
2-3 years or more of previous dealership title, licensing, or automotive administrative experience.
Knowledge of Indiana title and registration processes is a must.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
Professional communication and customer service skills.
Experience with dealership management software (CDK experience is a plus).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help wherever needed.
