Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's incoming payments, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles, experience with various financial software, and excellent communication skills to handle client inquiries effectively. Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, payment posting, and account reconciliation using accounting systems.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts through professional client communication and negotiation.
- Perform detailed analysis of accounts receivable data using Excel formulas and spreadsheets to identify discrepancies or trends.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure billing accuracy and resolve billing issues promptly.
- Support collections account management efforts to optimize cash flow while providing excellent customer service.
Experience
- Prior experience in accounting or finance roles involving accounts receivable management is required;
- Familiarity with financial software is essential
- Strong understanding of accounting concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, account analysis, and double entry bookkeeping.
- Demonstrated skills in Excel data analysis, Excel formulas, spreadsheets management, and account reconciliation are highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and negotiation; phone etiquette and customer service experience are important.
- Ability to perform data entry accurately at a high speed (10 key typing) while maintaining attention to detail.
