Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver specializing in dump trailer operations to join our dynamic transportation team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with dump trailers, including manual transmission trucks and refrigerated trailers when required
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, adhering to safety protocols
- Execute route driving plans accurately, managing delivery schedules and communicating proactively with dispatch
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery details in compliance with federal regulations
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle reliability
Experience
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and experience operating tractor-trailers with manual transmissions
- Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving and load & unload operations
- Experience handling freight that requires special equipment like forklifts or roll-off mechanisms
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to truck driving, cargo securement, and vehicle maintenance
- Ability to work independently while managing time effectively on busy delivery routes
