Summary:
The Sportsbook Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Sportsbook department, including the money room, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory, company and departmental policies and procedures. The Sportsbook Manager also leads and develops the Sportsbook team, promotes the Sportsbook brand and image, monitors and manages the Sportsbook risk and liability, and creates and implements policies and programs that support the property and company goals and initiatives.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Online Sports Betting managerial experience (Preferable).
- Experience working in sportsbook or casino environment (Preferable).
- At least two years of managerial experience in the hospitality or retail industry required in lieu of experience in sports betting.
- Proven experience driving high performing teams.
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft 365.
- Strong awareness of the sports calendar and the ability to work hours dictated by the sports calendar, including nights, holidays, and weekends.

- Directs and supervises the overall Sportsbook operation, and personnel, ensuring all activities and job responsibilities are performed according to established regulatory, company and departmental policies and procedures.

- Responsible for hiring, training, developing, mentoring and evaluating job performance for the Sportsbook team.
- Promotes a positive image of the Sportsbook and speaks on its behalf through public presentations, community events, media, and internal and external business meetings.
- Monitors and makes recommendations of Sportsbook risk and liability, leading up to and during sporting events.
- Works closely with the Marketing and Food & Beverage teams, corporate partners, and all vendors.
- Creates and implements policies and programs that support the achievement of property and company financial and operational goals and strategic initiatives.
- Investigates if Sportsbook patrons are wagering in an unethical or irregular manner or if Sportsbook Team Members are working in an unethical or irregular manner; reports the findings appropriately.
- Establishes department budgets and forecasts, monitors profit/loss statements each month.
- Manages operational expenses, budgets, betting accounts, and collection reports for accuracy.
- Directs daily labor to business volumes.
- Ensures Sportsbook area is clean and that the equipment is in proper working condition daily.
- Approves all Sportsbook over-the-limit wagers for the property within guidelines.
- Resolves complaints and manages difficult guest concerns.
- Ensures accurate and efficient data entry of customer and transactional information as required in the sports wagering system and Title 31 software.
- Ensures all job duties are performed according to established company policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Issues complimentary and redeems marketing vouchers based on tracked play and internal comping guidelines. (No redemption for cash, only merchandise)
- Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the PRGC Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program as described in Section A of the Internal Control System.
- Interact and co-operate with law enforcement agencies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
