Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a long-term assignment at a leading healthcare facility in Mequon, Wisconsin.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, including experience in critical care, intubation, and arterial line insertion. Travel experience and proficiency with EPIC are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to patients across various clinical settings.
- Assess, monitor, and manage patients with respiratory conditions.
- Perform respiratory treatments and therapies according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Assist with intubation procedures and provide ventilator management as required.
- Perform arterial line insertion and related respiratory care procedures.
- Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in EPIC.
- Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and infection-control procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Float within the therapist's skill set to other onsite departments or, if needed, to affiliated sites within approximately 40 miles.
Requirements
- Current Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner/RRT license required at the time of submission.
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience.
- Critical care experience required.
- Experience with intubation required.
- Experience with arterial line insertion required.
- Previous travel experience preferred.
- EPIC experience preferred.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
- Strong clinical, communication, and patient-care skills.

- Assignment Length: Approximately 13 weeks
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
- Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday (EOH)

- Floating may be required within the candidate's skill set or to facilities within approximately 40 miles based on operational needs.
