Position Summary
The Injector Assistant supports the injector in providing an exceptional, efficient, and personalized patient experience. This position is responsible for assisting with patient flow, room preparation, documentation, photography, product and treatment education, post-treatment instructions, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment.
The ideal candidate is professional, warm, detail-oriented, highly organized, and passionate about aesthetics and patient care. This person should be comfortable interacting with patients, educating them on available treatments and skincare, and helping the injector maximize both patient satisfaction and practice growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Experience
- Greet patients warmly and create a welcoming, luxury experience.
- Escort patients to treatment rooms and prepare them for their appointment.
- Obtain and document appropriate patient information and treatment history.
- Take standardized before-and-after photographs.
- Assist with patient positioning and preparation for treatments.
- Review pre- and post-treatment instructions as directed by the injector.
- Provide patients with appropriate aftercare information and products.
- Follow up with patients after treatments when requested.
- Help ensure patients understand their treatment plan and recommended next steps.
Injector Support
- Prepare treatment rooms before each appointment.
- Ensure all necessary supplies, products, instruments, and equipment are available.
- Assist the injector during consultations and treatments within the scope of the position and applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate treatment documentation and assist with charting as directed.
- Monitor inventory of injectables, skincare, supplies, and other treatment materials.
- Assist with room turnover between patients.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and infection-control standards.
Patient Education & Sales Support
- Educate patients about skincare products and treatments recommended by the injector.
- Help patients understand the benefits and maintenance requirements of their treatment plans.
- Identify opportunities for additional treatments and communicate them to the injector.
- Assist patients with scheduling recommended follow-up appointments before they leave.
- Encourage patients to remain engaged with their treatment plan and home-care regimen.
- Support membership, package, retail, and promotional initiatives.
- Help create a seamless transition from consultation to treatment to future appointment.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Assist with appointment flow and scheduling.
- Confirm treatment plans and follow-up appointments as directed.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Assist with inventory counts and supply organization.
- Communicate patient needs or concerns promptly to the injector, medical team, or management.
- Follow all practice policies, HIPAA requirements, OSHA standards, and applicable state regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical spa, dermatology, plastic surgery, aesthetics, or healthcare environment preferred.
- Experience working directly with patients is strongly preferred.
- Strong interest in aesthetic medicine and skincare.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, polished, and friendly demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable discussing skincare, aesthetic treatments, and products with patients.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
