Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Load and unload material in a safe and efficient manner without causing any damage to material by using forklifts

Maintain storage area organization

Review production schedules to determine required stock for each press
-
Operate forklift to retrieve materials form storage locations and transport to the appropriate area

Ensure adequate quantities are available for each job
-
Return unused stock to storage
-
Supply converting machines with required materials
-
Remain aware of the status of converting jobs and prepare/submit status report
-
Analyze and plan most efficient utilization of available space
-
Monitor raw stock levels and notify appropriate designated personnel of shortages for scheduled jobs

Notify remote warehouse of stock transfer needs
-
Take physical counts of roll stock
-
Maintain rejected raw stock and prepare for return to vendors
-
Receive shipments of raw stock: unload trucks; verify quantities; prepare required documents; place rolls into storage

Using a pallet jack to move finished goods to designated location
-
Ensure lines are set up for schedule changes
-
Maintain material supplies to machines
-
Visually inspects closures before sealing containers
-
Documentation of production paperwork
-
Packaging and tagging of product
-
Disposal of scrap into proper containers
-
General housekeeping duties performed throughout shift
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodations):

Physical ability to climb and work on or around machinery

Visual acuity to written material

Walking, squatting, crouching, turning, twisting, stretching. climbing steps, grabbing, pulling pushing, repetitive movement & bending sometimes in awkward positions

Typical environment of manufacturing and production facilities

Exposure includes but is not limited to continuous noise, scent of materials, bright work stations, machinery with moving parts
Qualifications
-
High School diploma or equivalent, maintenance and electrical experience
-
18 years of age or older
-
1+ years’ experience operating a forklift
-
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
-
Willing to work scheduled hours and required overtime
-
Ability to read and understand manuals, policies, and procedures

Ability to work as part of a team and also independently

Strong verbal and written English communication skills
