About Us: Ember & Oak is breaking ground for a brand new 6500 sq. ft. restaurant and event space located on the historic Katy Golf Club premises in Parsons, KS. As new owners of The Katy Golf Club, Tank Connection decided to invest in the community by creating a new venue earmarked to celebrate its grand opening in Fall of 2026 to coincide with The Katy Golf Club being open to the public for 100 years. The new facility will house a full-service restaurant, bar, and event space geared to service golfers, local residents, and community visitors for standard lunch and dinner dining along with special events such as tournaments, weddings, and other community and corporate events. Our mission is to create an exceptional experience both on and off the course through quality food, friendly service, and memorable hospitality.
Position Overview: The bartender will be responsible for providing exceptional beverage service while creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our guests.
Bartender Duties and Responsibilities:

Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive service.

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Embar & Oak standards.

Demonstrate knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and other beverage offerings.

Take beverage and food orders accurately and efficiently.

Make recommendations and answer guest questions regarding beverages and menu items.
-
Verify identification and ensure all guests purchasing or consuming alcohol meet applicable legal age requirements while adhering to all applicable laws and regulations regarding the sale and dispensing of alcoholic beverages.

Monitor guests responsibly and recognize when alcohol service should be discontinued.

Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked bar area.

Accurately process guest payments and handle cash and credit transactions responsibly.

Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, management, and other team members.

Follow all food-safety, sanitation, cleaning, and restaurant procedures.

Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking the bar.

Handle guest concerns professionally and involve management when appropriate.

Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing Embar & Oak.

Other duties as assigned.
Bartender Education and Qualifications:

Must be 21 years of age or older.

Previous bartending, restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service experience preferred.

Knowledge of responsible alcohol service and applicable laws and regulations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately handle multiple orders.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Dependable, punctual, and professional.

Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.

Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Bartender Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of bartender, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of bartender, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Weekend, evening, and holiday availability required.
