- Wage: $15.50 hr-$17.00/hr based on experience
- Employment Type: Full-time (32 hours or more) or Part-time (20-30 hours)
- Schedule: Open availability with hours varying Monday through Friday between 7:30am and 8:00pm and Fridays 7:30am to 5pm. No Weekends!!

We are seeking a dependable Veterinary Assistant to support both our medical and front desk teams.
Position Summary
This role is ideal for a flexible, detail-oriented team member who enjoys both hands-on patient care and client interaction. The Veterinary Assistant supports veterinarians and technicians with patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support (Veterinary Assistant Duties)
- Restrain patients safely and compassionately for exams and procedures
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during appointments and treatments
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness of treatment areas
- Obtain basic patient history and update medical records
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples as directed
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain medical equipment
- Assist with radiographs and basic nursing care
- Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
- Verify and update client and patient information
- Assist in the reception area as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in both assistant and receptionist duties is a plus
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with computer systems and practice management software
- Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Supportive team environment in an AAHA-accredited hospital
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and restrain animals up to 40–50 lbs
- Comfortable standing, walking, and bending for extended periods
- Ability to work in a clinical environment with exposure to animals, noise, and odors
