Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant with 6–8 years of litigation experience supporting attorneys on both the defense and plaintiff side. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced legal environment. This role requires strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court filings, trial preparation, and case management from inception through resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support to litigation attorneys handling defense and plaintiff matters
- Prepare, draft, revise, and proofread pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, correspondence, and other legal documents
- File documents electronically in state and federal courts
- Maintain attorney calendars, including court deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial schedules
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, court reporters, expert witnesses, and client meetings
- Assist with all phases of discovery, including document collection, organization, production, and tracking
- Prepare trial binders, exhibits, witness materials, and hearing notebooks
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, vendors, and experts
- Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and scheduling orders
- Assist with billing, time entry, expense processing, and matter management
- Support attorneys during trial preparation and trial as needed
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
Qualifications
- 6–8 years of litigation legal assistant experience required
- Experience supporting both defense and plaintiff litigation matters strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures and e-filing systems
- Experience managing high-volume litigation caseloads
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PDF editing software, and legal case management systems such as Clio Manage
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Trial preparation experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
