We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. Duties
- Operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, reefer.
- Execute route driving to deliver freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Handle loading and unloading of cargo as required, ensuring proper securing of freight.
- Utilize manual transmission when necessary and demonstrate proficiency in operating different types of trucks.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems.
- Proficient in operating tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles effectively.
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
