American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Special Procedures unit at a Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital, with at least 1 year of experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Work in a high-volume Interventional Radiology / Special Studies department at a Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital with 874 licensed beds
-
Patient population includes adults and pediatrics referred from the ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatient settings across the full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnoses
-
Average of 25–30 patients per day

Equipment includes 1 Siemens single-plane, 2 Siemens bi-plane, and 1 Canon bi-plane fluoroscopy systems

EMR: Epic
-
8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week; no rotation between weekdays and weekends — shift and schedule remain consistent per contract terms

On-call is required and rotated equitably among full-time, part-time, PRN, and travel staff
-
Holiday coverage is expected unless approved time off has been arranged in advance

No floating required

Minimum of 1 year of IR/Special Procedures experience, with most recent experience within the last year

Current BLS and ARRT-R certification required

Active state license required, if applicable

Epic EMR experience required

Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment

Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Must provide last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth for consideration

Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Department is supported by a lead tech, modality supervisor, and Imaging Manager; team includes members with a wide range of experience levels

Orientation includes facility and department tours with introductions; departmental orientation is approximately 5 days but may be adjusted based on individual traveler needs

Candidates who have previously worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
