Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our care team at the Albuquerque Rehabilitation Center. The CNA will provide essential support to patients by assisting with daily living activities, promoting patient safety, and delivering high-quality care to vulnerable populations.
Basic Requirements
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification for the state of New Mexico (if required)
- Mature, career-minded, and compassionate with a strong desire to care for patients
- Ability to push, pull, lift, or move a minimum of 80 pounds to a height of 3 feet
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for 2–5 hours at a time
- Willingness to work in environments with potential exposure to chemicals, infectious materials, or bloodborne pathogens
- Adherence to facility and employer policies, including identification and professional conduct
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, oral hygiene, nail and foot care, skincare, dressing, feeding, toileting, and transferring
- Measure and accurately record vital signs
- Notify the Supervisory Nurse of any patient-reported pain or abnormal findings
- Position patients safely in bed and assist with ambulation as needed
- Deliver all aspects of patient care in a manner that optimizes safety and comfort
- Document care rendered accurately and in a timely manner
- Report to the facility on time as scheduled
- Adhere to facility standards and comply with employer and client policies
- Wear identification and maintain a professional appearance
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to support patient care plans
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (state-specific if required)
- Previous experience in rehabilitation, long-term care, or hospital settings preferred
- Strong communication and observational skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused
