We are currently hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team in the Lewiston/Auburn area.
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides person-centered, hands-on support to individuals receiving Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) under MaineCare waiver programs.
DSPs play a critical role in helping individuals

Maine DHHS Office of Aging and Disability Services (OADS) regulations

HCBS Settings Rule requirements

Hope Family Partners policies and standards

Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) (hygiene, meals, mobility)

Support community integration and social engagement

Implement and track progress on individual goals

Ensure health, safety, and well-being of individuals served

Complete accurate documentation and communication (Paylocity, logs, reports)

Work collaboratively with team members, families, and care coordinators

Paid training and ongoing professional development

Requirements:
Required Qualifications (Maine HCBS)

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Must be at least 18 years of age

Ability to pass Maine DHHS-required background checks
-
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (if transporting individuals)

Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as required

Ability to complete required Maine HCBS trainings within designated timeframes
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities

Knowledge of person-centered planning and HCBS Settings Rule
-
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Medication Administration certification (or willingness to obtain)
-
Familiarity with Maine waiver services and documentation standards
-
Current DSP certification or ability to attain certification within 90 days of employment

Pay Range
$16.25 - $19.00/hr depending on experience and certifications.
