FOREMAN / CREW LEADER
Kalamazoo, MI (Parchment) | BUILDING RESTORATION INC.
Starting rate $26-$33/hr + Benefits + 401(k) Match + Profit Sharing
For over 40 years, Building Restoration Inc. has helped preserve and restore commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, and historic buildings throughout Michigan. From churches and historic downtown landmarks to schools and industrial facilities, our reputation is built on craftsmanship, safety, integrity, and long-term customer relationships.
Building Restoration Inc. (BRI) is seeking an experienced, hands-on Foreman to lead crews on commercial and residential restoration projects throughout Southwest Michigan.
Our crews work on a wide variety of projects, including historic churches, landmark buildings, schools, industrial facilities, and other structures that help define communities throughout West Michigan. Projects may include masonry restoration, concrete repair, waterproofing, sealants, coatings, and other building restoration services.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
In partnership with the Project Manager, you'll lead day-to-day field operations and be responsible for safety, quality, production, and crew development from project startup through completion.
You will:
- Serve as a hands-on (working) Crew Leader/Foreman, leading by example and working alongside your crew daily
- Mentor and train team members through hands-on guidance in the field
- Enforce safety standards and company procedures
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer expectations
- Successfully lead projects from mobilization through completion while maintaining safety, quality, and schedule
- Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 5 years of construction experience, including supervisory/leadership experience
- Proven construction experience with hands-on supervision
- Strong leadership and mentorship mindset
- Ability to manage multiple active projects when needed
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
REQUIREMENTS
- Reliable attendance
- Valid Michigan Driver's License (Chauffeur's License required)
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift (up to) 80 lbs
- Ability to work at heights exceeding 40 feet
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Responsible care of company vehicles, tools, and materials
- Must be drug-free, including THC. This position requires passing a pre-employment drug screen and participation in random drug testing.
