Position Summary/Primary Responsibilities:-
Responsible for effective and efficient machine set-ups to ensure the changeover is completed accurately, efficiently and in an appropriate timeframe.

Hands on responsibilities with Yaskawa robots, to include programming, troubleshooting, maintaining programs and backups.

Hands-on duties with cross wire resistance welding to complete proper set-up procedures for Press-type, multi-Head type and Spot Weld type resistance welders.

Troubleshoot resistance welding issues; determine root cause using basic resistance welding parameters such as weld current, air pressure, cooling, electrode condition, etc. to achieve a good weld.

Follow appropriate set-up procedures that include preventive maintenance of tooling and electrodes.

Various operations on manual milling machines and lathes to refinish resistance welding electrodes.

Basic Computer skills are a plus

Familiar with Lean Principals including 5s, SMED, and TPM to help drive Department efficiency

Understanding of LOTO procedures to prevent possible injuries

Ability to read and translate measurements on product diagrams

This position offers a shift differential for working 2nd shift

Education/Experience/Certification/Licenses: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Experience with resistance welding and manual milling machines and lathes a plus.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to read, write and speak English is essential. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently as needed. Ability to read prints. Intermediate math skills required.
