Position
LoCicero Health has an opening for a part-time Podiatrist (DPM) to join our team providing high-quality comprehensive foot, ankle, and lower extremity care within a multi-specialty medical practice in Tampa, Florida. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment of conditions affecting the foot, ankle, and lower extremities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic podiatric conditions
- Provide preventive, therapeutic, and surgical podiatric services as appropriate to training and credentialing
- Diagnose and manage conditions including diabetic foot complications, wounds, ulcers, infections, deformities, injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders
- Order, interpret, and review diagnostic studies, imaging, laboratory tests, and other clinical evaluations as necessary
- Perform clinic-based procedures and treatments in accordance with applicable standards of care
- Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, preventive care, footwear recommendations, and follow-up care
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient documentation within the electronic medical record system
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical compliance initiatives
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies
- Promote a professional, compassionate, and patient-centered clinical environment
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree is required
- Current unrestricted podiatric physician license in the State of Florida is required
- Board certification or board eligibility in podiatric medicine is required
- Strong knowledge of podiatric medicine, wound care, diabetic foot management, and lower extremity disorders
- Excellent clinical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to patient safety, professionalism, and patient-centered care
