Duties
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support to clients with diverse needs.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and transportation to appointments.
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, administering medications as prescribed, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with medical procedures like catheter care, wound management, and basic life support techniques including CPR.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Facilitate safe patient transfers utilizing proper patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts.
- Engage in meaningful communication with clients and their families to ensure personalized care plans are followed and needs are met effectively.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and home health care regulations.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia (including Alzheimer’s and memory care), or geriatrics is desirable.
- Certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS), including CPR training.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical record keeping; experience with home & community care is a plus.
- Strong patient observation skills coupled with excellent client communication abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred for client visits.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
