Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Restaurant Cook to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with menu planning and meal presentation to enhance customer experience
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, following proper food handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Handle food with care, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food preparation and kitchen operations
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies when necessary
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning, fine dining, or catering is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is advantageous
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in professional cooking
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Prior restaurant experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
