Under direction from the Recreation Manager, the Rock Wall Attendants supervise the daily activities at the climbing wall to provide a safe and friendly climbing environment for members and guests to enjoy the benefits of indoor rock climbing. Attendant will also train members, guests and other rock wall employees in the use of the wall. May perform other duties as assigned. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES The following duties and responsibilities are not all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.
- Support and assist members and guests as needed
- Provide overall supervision of climbing wall during hours of operation
- Train all interested participants to climb safely
- Open and close the Rock Wall
- Complete deep cleaning and basic maintenance to the equipment as needed
- Follow the established emergency action plan procedures, as required
- Conduct a daily inspection of the area and equipment before opening
- Fill out all necessary paperwork and checklists on a daily basis
- Report all major maintenance and supply needs to the appropriate staff
- Enforce Recreation Center/Rock Wall rules at all times

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist, grasp, push, pull, talk, hear and see. Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds.
