Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Lead Occupational & Physical Therapist to join our team. In this vital role, you will lead therapy services, develop comprehensive care plans, and collaborate closely with educators, families, and healthcare providers. Your expertise will help children with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and special education needs reach their full potential through evidence-based practices and compassionate care.
Responsibilities
- Lead the assessment and treatment of children across various settings including school, outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, and home health environments.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans focusing on assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, sensory integration, and functional skills.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning, case management, and transition strategies for children moving between care settings.
- Support children with autism spectrum disorders, speech therapy needs, neurodevelopmental disorders, and other disabilities through specialized interventions.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation using electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and medical terminology.
- Provide guidance on physiology and anatomy to staff and families to enhance understanding of therapeutic approaches.
- Assist in training staff and families on therapy techniques, early intervention strategies, and supporting students with disabilities in educational settings.
Qualifications
- Valid license or certification as an Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist.
- Proven experience working with children in pediatric settings such as clinics, schools, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and evidence-based practices related to pediatric therapy.
- Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, or disabilities requiring specialized interventions.
- Familiarity with medical documentation standards and electronic health records (EHR) management.
- Background in assisting with ADLs, discharge planning, case management, and working within early intervention or outpatient programs.
- Ability to work effectively with children across age groups including pediatrics and geriatrics when applicable.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
