American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a night shift Emergency Department position at a Level III Trauma Center in Tucson, AZ, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and active AZ or compact RN license.

Emergency Department setting within a 38-bed ED unit

Trauma Level III Certified facility, also designated as a Stroke and STEMI Receiving Center

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12s)

Cerner EMR — experience required

Floating required

13-week contract

Active AZ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS — no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required

Cerner EMR experience required

Valid driver's license required for consideration

No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Responsible for shift accountability in the ED using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy

Demonstrates critical thinking and clinical leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care in the Emergency Department

Delegates patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel

Charge nurse experience is preferred

NIH Stroke Scale certification is not required but recommended

Black scrubs required
-
RTO requests must be less than one week in duration

Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
