Seeking
We are looking for a talented and hard-working Accountant. This is an upwardly mobile position that can grow into a Senior Accountant and Accounting Manager role in the future. This position will report directly to the CFO/Controller of the Company. The Company is relatively small and therefore the accounting staff is comprised of 3 people (all reporting to the CFO/Controller). This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who wants to grow in their career.
Responsibilities
Prepare and personally record some closing journal entries. Responsible for assisting with the financials each month expeditiously.
Reconcile balance sheet every month and make any adjustments necessary with the approval of the CFO/Controller.
Personally reconcile all cash accounts monthly.
This position will work closely with payroll and prepare and enter month-end payroll accruals.
Ensure the accuracy and GAAP compliance of all financials.
Assist with internal and external audit requests and inquiries.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Experience in an accrual-based accounting environment.
Experience working as an accountant in a small company ($20 to $70 million in revenue).
Ability to understand and record adjusting journal entries and their effect on financial statements.
Proficient and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks and/or other ERP software.
Analytical, detail oriented, personable, professional demeanor, self-starting personality Strong oral and written communication skills to interact with varying audiences.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and complete assignments with tight deadlines.
Qualifications
4 Year Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
Minimum 2 years of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation Experience.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
Strong Excel and ERP skills
Perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
