Job Title: Grant Accountant
Location/Schedule: Clark Fulton Office, Cleveland, OH, and may be performed remotely (i.e. at home) based on the Finance team’s schedule and supervisor’s approval, 20-24 hours a week.

About Cleveland Rape Crisis Center
Cleveland Rape Crisis Center (CRCC) supports survivors of rape and sexual abuse, promotes healing and prevention and advocates for social change. CRCC was founded in 1974 in response to Cleveland’s long-standing need for services to assist survivors of sexual assault.
CRCC offers services in Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Geauga and Lake counties such as legal advocacy, case management, and therapy services. We also do education and outreach work, to educate the community on sexual violence and human trafficking prevention.
Position Summary
The Grant Accountant’s responsibilities are integral to the financial operations, ensuring accuracy in grant billing and compliance with funders’ requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing, maintaining, and fulfilling all financial aspects of each grant, ensuring compliance with all grant/foundation expenditures.
- Understand allowable expenses, conditions, and reporting deadlines for assigned grants.
- Assist in maintaining files of all grants, budgets, contracts, notice of grant awards, revisions to grants, and other related documents.
- Prepare all assigned required program grant billings and financial reporting within established time frames and work collaboratively to track fund utilization and spend down.
- Assist in preparation for on-site visits and audits.
- Special projects as needed to support Finance team.
- Ad hoc reporting as needed.
Education, Experience, Licenses, & Certifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business-related field
- 1-3 years of Accounting or Bookkeeping experience
- Grant Accounting experience preferred or a plus
- Non-Profit Accounting experience preferred or a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- May consider an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training to meet the essential functions of the position
Salary & Benefits
Salary Range: $30-$35/hour
