American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step-Down (HVTI) position requiring at least 18 months of step-down experience and an active OH or compact RN license in hand.

Step-down unit (HVTI-Stepdown) within a large hospital setting
-
Potential to float to other units (J1-2, J33) and the ED for the same patient population
-
Day and night rotating shifts available: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts)

Shifts may vary based on operational needs of the hospital

13-week contract
-
Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
-
Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required — all must be active and in hand (no pending certifications accepted)

Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in step-down nursing required; travel experience also accepted

PCU/Progressive care experience preferred but not required

One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty required for consideration — must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (no co-worker references)

Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

No active license hits or open background case hits will be accepted

ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score on both is required, with a maximum of two attempts allowed

Holiday coverage is required for at least every other holiday

Previous permanent or per diem employees of Cleveland Clinic hospitals must wait one year from their previous end date before being eligible
