Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting baked goods, pastries, and other bakery items.
- Prepare and assemble bakery products, including cake decorating and packaging baked goods for sale.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery display cases and work areas to meet food safety standards.
- Handle food with proper hygiene practices, ensuring all products are fresh and properly stored.
- Support food production by assisting in the baking process when needed, including mixing, portioning, and decorating.
- Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves and notifying management of low stock or product shortages.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about bakery items, ingredients, and dietary options.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food handling, bakery operations, or a related culinary environment is preferred.
- Skilled in cake decorating, pastry preparation, and general baking techniques.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with food safety protocols are essential.
- Experience with packaging baked goods for retail or catering purposes is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen or retail setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication.
