Job Summary:
-
Under minimal supervision, safely and efficiently:
- excavate an on-line/on-grade trench that is properly sloped, benched or shored
-
place pipe bedding and pipe in a trench
-
attach/detach various buckets with a quick coupler
Hours:
-
Ability to work hourly full time, generally 7:00am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays

More/less hours may be required based on weather conditions and project demands
-
Winter layoff may occur annually
Required Qualifications:

Authorized to work in the United States required

Minimum of at least 18 years of age required

Physical Requirements
- Sit for long periods of time

As necessary, get out of machine and assist ground personnel with pipe-laying operations

Climb up and down ladders

Be able to see (naturally or with correction)
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience operating heavy equipment preferred

Experience operating heavy equipment in the underground utility industry preferred

High school education or equivalent preferred
