The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the global logistics workflows, work with the forwarders and logistics focal points spread globally. Tracking Bids\Tenders, support in building the ocean price list.
Responsibilities:
- Carrier Management: Sourcing, vetting, and negotiating rates with trucking companies and freight brokers.
- Shipment Tracking: Monitoring freight in real time and managing appointments for loading and unloading at docks or warehouses.
- Problem Resolution: Reacting to issues like vehicle breakdowns, traffic delays, or capacity shortages by securing alternate routes or equipment.
- Documentation: Preparing, auditing, and processing shipping documents such as freight bills, delivery receipts, and compliance forms.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinating closely with warehouse staff, sales teams, and procurement to align transport schedules with inventory needs and customer demands.
- Cost Optimization: Analyzing transit routes and carrier performance to minimize costs and maximize fleet/load utilization.
- Ensure all the prices are updated in the system
- Tracking and monitoring the goods arriving till final destination at the client
Knowledge and Skills:
- BA
- 2 years of experience as import/export coordinator
- Inland transportation/Trucking knowledge – at least 2-3 years of experience
- Ocean import knowledge
- Spanish- advantage
- High level of Excel
- Knows to work under pressure
- Working well with people from different interfaces- great human relations.
