We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Compliance Specialist to join our team in a long-term, part-time remote role. This position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for paid travel to client sites throughout the United States.
Position Responsibilities
As an important member of our EHS team, responsibilities may include:
- Managing independent and collaborative EHS projects
- Conducting environmental site visits and assessments
- Authoring technical reports and compliance documentation
- Developing Spill Prevention, Control & Countermeasure Plans (SPCCPs)
- Completing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I ESAs)
- Researching federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Developing written environmental and safety programs
- Drafting emergency response and evacuation plans
- Supporting hazardous materials and hazardous waste compliance projects
- Monitoring project schedules and assisting with project coordination
- Communicating professionally with clients, regulators, and internal team members
Preferred Qualifications
Successful applicants will possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in an environmental, safety, engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of relevant environmental, health, and safety experience
- Strong technical writing and organizational skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Willingness and ability to travel periodically for site visits and field work
- Experience with environmental compliance reporting, Phase I ESAs, SPCCPs, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, stormwater, or related EHS programs preferred
- Professional certifications are a plus, but not required
