Pinnacle Point Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director (Plant Operations Director) to lead our Maintenance and Environmental Services team in Riverside, MO. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all facility maintenance, preventative maintenance, Life Safety compliance, HVAC systems, building operations, and environmental services within our skilled nursing and rehabilitation center.
Life Safety inspection experience is required. Candidates with experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, assisted living, healthcare facilities, or commercial building maintenance are encouraged to apply.

The Maintenance Director is responsible for maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-maintained healthcare environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This position oversees all preventative maintenance programs, Life Safety inspections, facility repairs, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, mechanical equipment, laundry operations, and regulatory compliance while leading the Maintenance and Environmental Services departments.
Lead and supervise the daily operations of the Maintenance and Environmental Services departments.
Manage and coach maintenance staff while promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.
Oversee the facility's preventative maintenance program and ensure timely completion of all scheduled maintenance.
Perform and coordinate Life Safety inspections, documentation, and survey readiness activities.
Ensure compliance with CMS, OSHA, NFPA Life Safety Code, state regulations, and local building codes.
Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, lighting, fire safety, emergency power, nurse call, and other critical building systems.
Perform routine building maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs throughout the facility.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work orders, inspections, equipment repairs, replacement parts, and preventative maintenance using the TELS maintenance management system.
Conduct daily facility rounds to identify maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and repair needs.
Coordinate room readiness for new admissions and resident discharges.
Collaborate with nursing leadership and department managers to support infection prevention and provide a safe, comfortable environment.
Monitor department budgets, inventory, equipment, maintenance supplies, and vendor relationships.
Coordinate outside contractors for specialized repairs and capital improvement projects.
Maintain all Life Safety equipment including fire alarms, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, emergency lighting, fire doors, sprinkler systems, generators, and related documentation.
Ensure the facility remains clean, safe, attractive, and survey-ready at all times.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous supervisory or management experience in maintenance or facilities operations required.
Experience conducting Life Safety inspections is required.
Long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, hospital, or healthcare maintenance experience strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance.
Knowledge of CMS regulations, OSHA standards, NFPA Life Safety Code, and state survey requirements.
Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining regulatory compliance and high-quality facility standards.
