Overview
We are seeking an energetic and visionary Campus Life Director to lead and enhance the overall experience of residents through dynamic programs, vibrant community engagement, and effective administrative oversight. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape a lively, supportive environment that promotes independence, dignity, and wellness for our senior residents. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for education and community-building, along with strong leadership skills to manage staff and coordinate diverse activities. This position is a fulltime Salaried position it would included weekends and holidays as well as some evening hours.
Duties
Develop and successfully implement a comprehensive campus life program tailored to the needs and interests of independent senior residents, ensuring accessibility and inclusiveness among independent housing locations.
Plan and coordinate a variety of social, recreational, educational, and cultural activities and events to promote resident engagement and well-being. That delivers on our promise of providing exceptional senior lifestyle choices.
Collaborate with residents, families, staff, and community partners to identify programming preferences and opportunities for enrichment.
Recruit, train, and supervise a team of volunteers to support campus life initiatives and assistwith event coordination.
Foster a sense of community and belonging among residents by creating opportunities for socialinteraction and connection.
Serve as a resource for residents, providing support, guidance, and assistance in accessing campus amenities and services and resolving grievances or concerns with appropriate department managers.
Maintain accurate records of programming attendance, resident feedback, and other relevant data to inform program evaluation and improvement.
Participates in case conferences.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines governing long-term care communities and resident activities, including ADA requirements for accessibility.
Orders equipment and supplies as needed.
Stay informed about best practices in senior living and actively seek out opportunities forprofessional development and growth.
Serve as a member of the campus Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI)committee.
Subject to call back in campus emergencies.
Work collaboratively and in conjunction with Admissions to ensure smooth transitions with new residents.
Assists in preparing annual budget for Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living.
Welcomes new residents and provides move-in information and essential services i.e. refuse, phone, work orders, mailboxes, etc.
Work with other departments in coordinating special events that engage entire campus.

- High level of integrity, professional maturity and sound judgment. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Solid supervisory experience to include providing overall direction and coordination of Activity Leaders.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations.
- Develop reports, business correspondences and procedure manuals.
- Experience with presenting information and responding to questions professionally from groups of residents, family members or staff.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Desired Experience
- Combination of experience in a social or recreational and therapeutic activities program.
- Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from a four-year college or university and/or certification from the National Certification Council of Activity Professionals in NYS and is eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body on or after October 1, 1990; or has two years of experience in asocial or recreational program within the last five years, or is a qualified occupational therapist
- or occupational therapy assistant; or has completed a training curse approved by NYS.
- Experience working in a geriatric setting preferred.
- Excellent skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, working with databases.

Pay: $46,299.45 - $55,758.48 per year
