Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Non-Commercial Driver's License Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating various passenger and cargo vehicles to ensure safe, timely, and efficient transportation services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety, excellent customer service skills, and a comprehensive understanding of traffic regulations and vehicle maintenance. Responsibilities
- Safely operate passenger vehicles, including passenger vans, shuttle buses, limousines, and client-specific vehicles, adhering strictly to all traffic laws and transportation regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet scheduled pick-up and drop-off times.
- Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and luggage handling while providing courteous customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding schedules, routes, and any delays or changes.
- Perform light maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and cleaning vehicles regularly.
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary for cargo or luggage loading/unloading.
- Follow all safety protocols related to medical transportation or specialized client needs.
- Ensure compliance with state transportation regulations and company policies at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or chauffeur driving passenger vehicles such as vans, limousines, or shuttle buses.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and local driving routes.
- Prior experience in medical transportation or client-specific vehicle delivery is advantageous.
- Knowledge of manual handling procedures for loading/unloading cargo.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to traffic regulations and maintain safety standards during all operations.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team coordination.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily responsibilities.
- Experience managing routine vehicle maintenance checks and reporting issues promptly.
