Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hard-working, and fast-paced Line Cook to join our growing team. In this role, you will prepare ingredients, execute menu dishes according to standard recipes, maintain a clean and organized station, and play a direct role in building our restaurant's legacy from the ground up. Bilingual (English / Spanish) skills are a major plus.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation to support daily service needs
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety standards are consistently met
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely delivery of orders
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality control
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments with a focus on quality and safety
- Strong knife skills, including slicing techniques for various ingredients
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to meal plans or menu specifications
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments
- Experience with catering or large-scale meal preparation is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to maintain cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in a fast-paced kitchen setting
