Clinnova Research Solutions is a full-service Site Management Organization (SMO) that provides administrative and operational support to help facilitate Phase II–IV clinical trials. We conduct research in high-quality, fully equipped facilities located throughout Southern California.
We are currently looking for a full-time Research Laboratory Coordinator with phlebotomy certification to work at our office located in Anaheim. This is an entry-level to experienced position suitable for a phlebotomist seeking to enter clinical research or someone looking to advance their career in it.
Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Draw blood from and perform other lab procedures such as EKG and EEG, on study participants of all ages
- Process biological samples including centrifugation, labeling, aliquoting, and proper storage/shipment in accordance with protocol requirements
- Perform accurate and timely data entry into electronic data capture (EDC) systems, clinical trial management systems (CTMS), and internal tracking tools
- Review source documents for completeness and ensure accurate transcription of data into study databases
- Maintain and organize Investigator Site Files (ISF) in compliance with GCP, sponsor, and regulatory requirements, including filing essential documents such as protocols, informed consent forms, delegation logs, and training records
- Assist with the preparation, review, and quality control of regulatory binders and study documentation for monitoring visits, audits, and inspections
- Track and resolve data queries generated by sponsors or CROs in a timely manner
- Ensure proper version control and documentation of study-related materials and regulatory documents
- Perform outbound calls to patients for scheduling, follow-up, and study outreach
- Answer inbound calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally
- Schedule patient screening visits, treatments, and protocol-required procedures
- Screen potential participants for protocol eligibility under supervision
- Track patient visits, procedures, and data across multiple ongoing clinical studies
- Perform clerical and operational duties including inventory tracking, lab supply management, equipment cleaning/sterilization, and shipment of samples
- Maintain a clean, sterile, organized, and compliant work environment in accordance with clinical research standards
Qualifications and Requirements:
- California State Phlebotomy Certificate or license
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on data accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with clinical research documentation, EDC systems, or regulatory processes preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organized records in a fast-paced environment
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, caregivers, physicians, sponsors, and team members
