What You'll Actually Do
- Process Transactions – Ring up sales, handle cash and card payments, manage the register from open to close
- Solve Problems – Think on your feet when payment issues arise or customers need assistance
- Build Customer Relationships – Engage with regular customers, answer questions, and recommend products
- Handle Details – Track cash drawer balancing, receipt accuracy, inventory updates, and transaction records
- Support the Team – Assist with store setup, restocking shelves, managing lines during peak hours, and real-time floor coordination
- Maintain Standards – Keep the register area clean, organized, and welcoming
- Drive Sales – Suggest add-ons, promotions, and loyalty programs to enhance the customer experience
Who We're Looking For
Required:
- 1+ years of retail, cashier, or customer service experience
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask without losing your cool
- Strong communication—with customers, coworkers, and management
- Problem-solver mentality and ability to adapt quickly to rushes or issues
- Comfortable with cash handling, POS systems, and basic math
- Professional demeanor with patience and can-do attitude
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with modern POS software (Square, Toast, etc.)
- Background in retail, food service, or hospitality
- Customer service certification or training
- Sales experience or upselling skills
- Cash management experience
