Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly and energetic Barista/Server Assistant to join our vibrant café team. In this role, you'll be one of the first points of contact for our guests, crafting delicious non-alcoholic beverages (coffees & smoothies) and providing top-notch customer service. You'll also support the front-of-house team by assisting with food and beverage service, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, has great communication skills, and enjoys working in a lively, fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks with attention to quality and presentation.
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems like Toast POS, process cash transactions, and handle retail sales transactions efficiently.
- Serve food and beverages to guests promptly while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Assist with cleaning duties including wiping down counters and tables, cleaning equipment, ensuring the café remains tidy and inviting.
- Support food handling and food safety practices during beverage preparation and food service to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple customers quickly without sacrificing quality.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations, a healthy work enviorment, and a positive guest experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred; barista experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude, good time management skills, and a willingness to learn new techniques related to beverage preparation and food service.

Pay: $13.00 - $20.00 per hour
