The Hampton Inn & Suites Fargo Medical Center is looking for a dependable Part-Time Weekend Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is perfect for someone looking to supplement their income, a retired maintenance professional who wants to stay active, or anyone with maintenance experience looking for consistent weekend hours.
You'll play an important role in ensuring our guests enjoy a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained hotel.
What You'll Do
General Hotel Maintenance
- Complete guest room repairs and preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance issues
- Repair furniture, fixtures, doors, locks, lighting, and other hotel equipment
- Respond to guest maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with painting, touch-up work, and small improvement projects
Pool & Spa Operations
- Test and balance pool and spa chemicals
- Maintain daily pool chemical and safety logs
- Monitor filtration systems, pumps, and pool equipment
- Ensure the pool and spa areas are clean, safe, and guest-ready
- Coordinate repairs when equipment requires servicing
Keep Our Hotel Looking Great
- Perform preventative maintenance throughout the property
- Help maintain clean, safe, and attractive public spaces
- Work closely with the Front Desk and Housekeeping teams to resolve maintenance concerns quickly
- Assist with seasonal projects and hotel improvements as needed
Safety First
- Help maintain life safety systems and emergency equipment
- Follow all hotel safety policies and procedures
- Promote a safe environment for guests and fellow team members
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
Reliable and self-motivated
Comfortable working independently
Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting skills
Friendly and willing to assist guests when needed
Organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- HVAC
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Carpentry
- General building maintenance
- Pool and spa maintenance
Hotel maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
Schedule
Part-Time Weekend Position
Saturday & Sunday
8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
This position offers a consistent weekend schedule, making it ideal for someone looking for supplemental income or work-life balance.

Physical Requirements

- Climb ladders and safely use maintenance tools
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the shift
