Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection prevention management procedures
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to dental x-ray safety standards and radiation protection protocols
- Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging as needed to support comprehensive patient evaluations
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures to promote long-term dental health
- Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical documentation and medical records
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as patient management software updates and coordinating appointments with the dental receptionist role in mind
- Follow strict dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards across all clinical activities
- Assist with dental instrument processing, ensuring all tools are properly cleaned, sterilized, and stored for safe reuse
- Utilize advanced dental equipment including 3D scanners when applicable for diagnostics or treatment planning
- Contribute to a positive patient experience through effective communication, compassionate care, and professional demeanor
Experience
- Proven experience as a Registered Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures
- Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing patient records efficiently
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security
- Proficiency in taking dental X-rays (dental x-ray) and understanding radiation safety protocols
- Experience supporting pediatric dentistry cases with specialized techniques for children’s comfort and care (pediatrics) preferred
- Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry for efficiency during procedures
- Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry and oral surgery
- Ability to perform dental sterilization procedures accurately while maintaining infection prevention standards
- Strong understanding of dental equipment operation including endodontic tools, prosthodontic devices, and 3D scanners if applicable
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within the clinical team and provide exceptional patient care

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
