This position is located in the Nursing Dept of the Veterans Home of California - Ventura and is responsible for for addressing and evaluating the ongoing needs of the residents, working collaboratively with the physicians and other health care providers, and promoting the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of health care resources available to our residents.

Working Conditions

Working overtime is a requirement of this position.

Special Requirements

The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
The position(s) require(s) Medical Clearance prior to being hired.
The position(s) require(s) a(n) Licensed Vocational Nurse License. You will be required to provide a copy of your license prior to being hired.

Veterans may qualify for a CalVet Veterans Hiring Preference. Military service must be included in the Employment History section of the Employment Applications (STD. 678). The application package must include documentation of discharge, appropriate to the branch of service. The documentation must reflect a discharge/release under conditions other than dishonorable. Successful completion of a live scan and a pre-employment physical (including drug testing for certain civil service classifications) will be required.

Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).
