What you’ll do
- Assist in patient intake by gathering medical history and performing preliminary tests, including vital signs and visual acuity assessments.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing patient records and maintaining confidentiality.
- Collaborate with optometrists to conduct eye examinations and assist with diagnostic equipment.
- Provide education to patients regarding eye health and contact lens care.
- Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and handling medical billing tasks.
Basic qualifications
- Experience in a medical office or clinic setting, preferably within ophthalmology or optometry.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience with EMR systems.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team while providing outstanding customer service.
