Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service by understanding their needs and recommending suitable products or solutions
- Assist customers with plant identification, gardening tips, and landscape maintenance advice to enhance their outdoor spaces
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cashiering, cash handling, and processing transactions efficiently
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure the store is organized and inviting for shoppers
- Support floral design projects and floral department setup to inspire customer creativity
- Manage inventory by stocking new merchandise, conducting stock checks, and updating product labels
- Communicate effectively with customers via phone or in person to answer questions about products or services
- Apply retail math skills to handle transactions accurately and manage cash registers with precision
- Assist in outdoor work activities such as lawn care or landscape maintenance when needed to support store operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, landscaping, gardening, or outdoor work is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for outdoor environments is essential
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Knowledge of horticulture, plant identification, floral design, and lawn care techniques highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure smooth transactions
- Excellent organizational skills for merchandising, stocking, and maintaining store cleanliness
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele
- Experience with e-commerce platforms or online sales processes is advantageous
- Reliable team player with strong phone communication skills and the ability to multitask efficiently
