Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering strictly to safety standards in production and food handling protocols
- Follow food safety management practices to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Support menu planning by suggesting improvements and assisting with ingredient inventory management
- Collaborate with team members to deliver timely food service during busy hours, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Assist with catering orders and special events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related role within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong knowledge of safety standards in production, food handling, and kitchen operations
- Excellent knife skills and slicing techniques to prepare ingredients efficiently and safely
- Familiarity with dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry best practices
- Prior experience in catering or serving is advantageous but not required
