About the Role
We’re hiring a Seasonal Mosquito Technician to join our Hickory operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in delivering high-quality service, and communicates well with customers.
As a Seasonal Mosquito Technician, you will provide mosquito control treatments for residential and commercial customers, help identify breeding and harborage areas, and deliver service that supports strong customer retention and satisfaction throughout the season.
What You’ll Do
- Perform mosquito control services, including barrier treatments and targeted applications
- Inspect properties for mosquito breeding sites, resting areas, and contributing conditions
- Apply products according to label, company standards, and North Carolina regulations
- Educate customers on ways to reduce mosquito activity around their property
- Complete accurate service documentation using company mobile software
- Maintain equipment, vehicle, and inventory in a clean, organized, and ready state
- Communicate service findings and recommendations clearly and professionally
- Support other seasonal services as assigned
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Comfortable working outdoors in summer heat and varying weather conditions
- Ability to walk properties, carry equipment, and work efficiently on a route
- Strong customer communication and professionalism
- Ability to work independently and stay on schedule
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused
Nice to Have
- Previous mosquito control experience
- Pest control experience in residential or commercial service
- Experience identifying mosquito breeding areas and conducive conditions
- Prior use of service software or mobile apps (FieldRoutes or similar)
- Strong route management habits, including notes and follow-up communication

Schedule
- Monday–Friday (daytime hours)
- Occasional Saturday work during peak season (as needed)
